Software Engineer - FUTO Store Android Front-end

At FUTO we believe in software developers getting paid for their work, even when the code is freely available. To that end we are building an Android store for applications that follow our principles.

In this role you will be responsible for the front-end development of the FUTO App Store. This means:

Displaying available apps and their metadata
Basic search functionality
Integration with FUTO Pay
Integration with Polycentric for user reviews and developer updates

You may also work on other front-end applications for FUTO.

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of professional experience in software development
Experience developing Android applications, preferably using Kotlin
A good feel for what makes an app enjoyable to use
Ideally experience with Appium or similar automated test drivers

Expectations:

FUTO is a process light organization that is largely driven by engineering. We expect you to be highly independent in this role: you will be the sole front-end developer for the MVP of FUTO Store.

Location:

FUTO is based in Austin, Texas. This is an on-site role and we offer relocation assistance.
