Software Engineer - FUTO Store Tooling and Automation

At FUTO we believe in software developers getting paid for their work, even when the code is freely available. To that end we are building an Android store for applications that follow our principles.

In this role you will be responsible for building tools and automation targeting developers who are deploying in the store. This means:

• Managing the life cycle of APKs, metadata, and credentials
• Creating APIs and CLIs for developer use in pushing to the store
• Enabling Android build automation for reproducible builds
• Analytics and reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language, preferably Rust
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience with distributed systems and databases, preferably SQLite

Expectations:

FUTO is a process light organization that is largely driven by engineering. We expect you to be highly independent in this role, capable of translating loose requirements into action or questions.

Location:

FUTO is based in Austin, Texas. This is an on-site role and we offer relocation assistance.
